I have spent the morning making quilt backs. I have had these two baby quilt tops hanging on my grid design wall for long enough. It is a lovely day in Christchurch NZ today so I hope to throw open all the windows and doors and spray baste these this afternoon.
Edmonton Modern Quilt Guild Sew Day: Today I went to the monthly “sew day” held by my guild at Earthly Goods - everyone just brings projects to work on, in a more social environment (with cookies, too!)
I ended up playing with the scraps from my Tule Quilt. Since I had scraps that were triangles, I made them into hexagons: one large one showcasing six of the fabrics. Then following the same theme, I made some small scrappy hexagons with bits of fabric I had leftover. I’m planning to turn all of them into pillows, I think!
I spent my Monday evening trimming blocks. It was a nice way to finish off a lovely Monday. Well the weather was lovely, too nice to be in the office really. I throughly enjoyed my run around the park at lunchtime. It was so warm I even busted out the running shorts. Hope your Monday was Marvellous too.
I took my heart quilt to work last week and hung it on the red wall behind my desk to take some pictures. It was a very sunny day so the rest of the photos I took did not come out too well. Never mind.
