Breathe - Ta Da! (via she can quilt: )

bluedesignwall:

So while the rain and sleet fall noisily on the roof I am warm and dry stitching up a storm in my tiny sewing room. This is such pretty fabric, I really wish I had bought more of it. I think this should be big enough to turn into a cover for my wee Featherweight. I hope you are warm and doing something you really enjoy this evening. I think it is time for me to get some sleep. Night all.

Another treasure I brought home: cross-stitched quilt made by my maternal grandmother. She passed 5 years ago, so this is especially precious to me. 💙💚

how beautiful — what a treasure!

So in the winter lottery of ills I have drawn the choke until you almost expire cold thing. I tried to sleep in but some blokes arrived to do EQ repairs on our cracked house. It is freezing and raining so I put the wee heater on in my sewing room and closed the door. The outlook has gained a couple of cars and is rather bleak. This morning I chain pieced a UFO and am trying really hard not to start something new. I had to have a small medical procedure earlier in the week and have a sore arm as a result so the machine quilting I would like to be doing will have to wait. Hopefully this UFO will hold my interest and nothing new will leap onto the Blue Design Wall but would it be the end of the world if it did???? ;-).
